SAT DETECTA CASO ESPECIAL DE DEFRAUDACIÓN ADUANERA
Como resultado del operativo aduanero desarrollado en el marco de la COINCON dentro del área de Courier de la Aduana Express Aéreo, se evitó el ingreso de diamantes declarados como “productos de bisutería”, procedentes de Estados Unidos.
Las autoridades realizaron la verificación exhaustiva de las mercancías y de los documentos que las amparaban, logrando identificar alteraciones en la descripción, valor y cantidad declarada. Los diamantes se encuentran valorados en Q325,767.26 representando Q93,941.41 en impuestos dejados de percibir, constituyéndose como Caso Especial de Defraudación Aduanera.
Durante la Emergencia Sanitaria ocasionada por el COVID 19, la SAT, en coordinación de las instituciones que conforman la COINCON, continúa la lucha frontal contra defraudación y el contrabando aduaneros que se incrementa en la temporada de fin de año, así como el control de las operaciones de comercio exterior en todo el territorio nacional, con el fin de proteger la salud, la economía y el empleo de los guatemaltecos.
SAT DETECTS SPECIAL CASE OF CUSTOMS DEFRAUDING
As a result of the customs operation carried out within the framework of COINCON within the Courier area of the Air Customs Express, the entry of diamonds declared as “jewelery products” from the United States was avoided.
The authorities verified the exhaustive verification of the goods and the documents that protected them, managing to identify alterations in the description, value and declared quantity. The diamonds are valued at Q325,767.26 representing Q93,941.41 in taxes not received, becoming a Special Case of Customs Fraud.
During the Sanitary Emergency caused by COVID 19, the SAT, in coordination with the institutions that integrates the COINCON, continues the frontal fight against fraud and customs smuggling that increases in the season at the end of the year, as well as the control of the foreign trade operations throughout the national territory, in order to protect the health, economy and employment of Guatemalans.
